- 3 – 3 1/4 cups (15 – 16 1/4 oz) all purpose flour
- 1 envelope (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2/3 cups buttermilk at room temperature
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tbsp butter, softened but not melted
- 5-6 cups crisco or vegetable shortening
- sea salt to sprinkle on top
- 1 cup apple cider
- 3 tbsp bourbon (divided)
- 1 3” cinnamon stick
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
