  • 2 (1/4-ounce) envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure orange extract
  • red natural liquid food coloring
  • yellow natural liquid food coloring
  • 1/2 (1-ounce) bag freeze-dried jeju mandarin-orange slices
  • vegetable oil, for spatula and knife
