  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • zest and juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft, for filling and glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, for lemon roll dough
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for filling and glaze
  • 2 lemons, zested
