  • 1/4 cup (packed) light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2/3 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1 large egg
  • oil for coating rising bowl
  • 3/4 cup (packed) light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon table salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons milk or buttermilk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • few drops vanilla extract (optional)
