  • 6 cups chopped yukon gold potatoes, larger bite-size chunks
  • 2 cloves garlic, left whole, skins on (you’ll fish them out later)
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • chives for garnish
  • salt/pepper to taste
