  • superfine sugar, to taste
  • 2 cups mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped (about 3 mangoes)
  • 2 cups strawberries, washed, hulled, and drained (about 1 quart)
  • 3 cups tamarind pods (about 5 ounces)
