  • 8 large full bodied oval potatoes
  • 4 large red or yellow onions
  • 8 big cloves of garlic
  • 1″ ginger peeled and very finely chopped
  • 5 green chillies chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped cashew or almond
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin seeds/jeera
  • 2 teaspoons of turmeric
  • 4 tablespoons of red chilli powder(optional or adjust amount)
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander powder
  • 8-10 tablespoons of oil
  • 4 tablespoons of fresh coriander/cilantro chopped
  • 5 cloves
  • 4 small green cardamoms
  • 2″ sticks of cinnamon
  • salt
