Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef (or lean ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (or 2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 2 cups reduced-fat spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil (or 1 tsp italian seasoning instead of the basil and oregano)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 cups fat-free cottage cheese
  • 2 tbs grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 uncooked lasagna noodles (you could also use whole wheat lasagna noodles)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
