Ingredients

  • 1 cup lukewarm water (between 100 and 110f)
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup scalded milk
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 7 cups sifted unbleached all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon (or less, i just sprinkle it on to my liking)

  • 4 sticks (1 lb.) butter, softened
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
