Ingredients

  • 1 stick cold butter, cut into small chunks

  • zest of 1 lemon

  • 2 t cold water
  • 2 cups whole milk or 2% greek yogurt (not non-fat)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 vanilla bean (seeds scraped out) or 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 t cornstarch
