  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 ounces potato starch
  • 4 ounces sweet rice flour
  • 2 ounces cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons xanthan gum
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 quart canola oil for frying (you could use any vegetable oil you wanted here)
