  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces (1 1/2 cups) cocktail peanuts, finely chopped in a food processor
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 5 ounces semisweet chocolate (61 percent), chopped
  • pinch of salt
