  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste, or pure vanilla extract
  • grated zest of 1/2 orange
  • 1 large egg white, whisked with a fork
  • 1/4 cup sanding sugar
  • homemade or good-quality store-bought whipped cream
  • 6 perfect fresh raspberries, for garnish
