  • 1/2 cup dark rum, such as gosling's
  • 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 small (under 3 inches tall) firm-sweet apples (about 4 ounces each or 1 1/2 pounds total)
